9 Best Bars in Park City for a Fun and Boozy Evening

Ready to discover the best Park City bars to chill out after a long day in the mountains? Here are a few tips on where to find the best brews, cocktails and wine by the bottle in Park City.

Park City is famous for its incredible ski resorts, top-tier restaurants and festivals (Sundance, anyone?) And, along with that, comes some great places to enjoy a few drinks with friends.

But where should you go for the best craft beers, diverse wine lists or creative mixed drinks in Park City? Not to worry; we’ve handled that for you.

This guide will tell you everything you need to know about finding the best bars in Park City, Utah.

Best Bars in Park City

The Spur Bar & Grill

Old Town

$$

Upon first glance into The Spur Bar & Grill, you’ll notice decidedly old-west undertones in this classic pub on Main Street. Leather stools, a built-in fireplace and exposed brick all contribute to the warm atmosphere inside this local favourite.

If you’re looking for bars in Park City with a reliable menu of food and drinks and a good mix of locals and regulars sharing a comfortable space, head to The Spur.

Top Tip: Check with the bartenders for upcoming events. There’s a small stage known to host popular live music events from time to time.

High West Saloon

Park City Mountain

$$$

Trying to find the best cocktails Park City offers? Start at the best distillery in Utah and head over to High West Saloon.

What do we like about High West? Well… everything. Let’s start with the fact that you can ski in and ski out. Enough said?

But then there’s the food, cocktails and spirits list that rank up there with anywhere in the state. Really.

Order a whiskey flight, an expertly prepared cocktail and a snack from the celebrated team at one of the best distilleries in the USA. You’ll be happy you did.

Top Tip: Try any of the whiskeys neat, but our favourite is A Midwinter Night’s Dram and its bouquet of spicy, sweet and complex aromas.

Umbrella Bar

Canyons Village

Is there a more quintessential Park City bar than the no-frills ski in ski out hangout simply known as Umbrella Bar? Unlikely.

And the crowds on any given day speak volumes about this casual landing spot for thirsty skiers and snowboarders.

More of a takeout kiosk than a proper bar, the patio outside is where you’ll find the convivial scene of people enjoying their burgers, buffalo wings and bottles of beer at one of the best Park City, UT bars right on the ski slopes.

No Name Saloon

Old Town

$$

What is it about a bar with no name that always seems to work? We’re not entirely sure, but it usually does.

Just down the road from High West is the No Name Saloon, where the food, beverage and clientele just seem to speak for themselves.

Some things you’re likely to see here include a motorcycle hanging from the ceiling, a live game on tv and a bunch of happy locals boozing it up at one of the top bars in Park City.

Go for a buffalo burger (that’s the thing here), but stay for the ambiance and conversation.

Old Town Cellars

Old Town

$$

Whether you’re visiting Park City for skiing, attending Sundance Film Festival in the winter or doing some epic hiking in the summer, finding the best wine bar Park City boasts is never a bad idea.

So where should you go for a great wine list in Park City? Old Town Cellars is the gathering place for sommeliers, foodies and budding wine enthusiasts alike – and it’s no mystery why.

While not limited to wine (the bar also has a well-curated selection of beer and spirits), you’ll want to ask the advice of the expert staff to see what’s hiding in the cellar in this small but inviting western-themed wine bar.

Top Tip: Old Town Cellars also runs a bottle shop, but it’s temporarily closed due to water damage.

Offset Bier

Ironhorse District

$$

If you’re looking for the best beer bar in Park City, Offset Bier is a clear winner. Featuring sour beers, rotating IPAs and several different lagers, it perfectly blends old-world tradition and new and exciting styles.

Because of Utah liquor laws, you won’t find a high-octane double IPA on draft (everything is 5% ABV or lower), but that just means you can try one extra pour of these satisfying session lagers and ales.

The brewers know their hops here. Be sure to sample some IPAs that use aromatic varieties like Zeus, Mosaic and Simcoe.

Versante Hearth + Bar

Peaks Hotel

$$

Technically a restaurant, the bar at Versante Hearth + Bar in Peaks Hotel has a reputation for being one of the best cocktail bars in Park City.

Hardwood everything (floors, tables and walls) provides a cosy cabin-like interior to this smart casual Italian restaurant in Peaks Hotel. Pizzas and pasta are popular, the service is reliable, and you’ll find a nice mix of visitors and locals.

Drinks range from the somewhat familiar play on boozy hot chocolate “Lost Prospector” (peanut butter whiskey, Bailey’s Irish Cream and hot chocolate) to a refreshing gin and tonic with blood orange.

The menu leans towards crowd-pleasers over groundbreaking new recipes, but it works.

Downstairs

Old Town

$$$

If you’re browsing Park City main street bars, you might expect to see more wine bars, cocktail lounges or restaurants serving boozy hot chocolate in cosy digs.

But, believe it or not, there’s a place to dance the night away (or until last call, anyways) with DJ sets, live music and special events throughout the year.

Truthfully, you’ll find better cocktails and chill places to hang out and chat with locals in Park City. But if you’re looking to listen to EDM music, host a group event with bottle service, or catch the occasional nationally recognized act while enjoying nightlife in Park City, Downstairs is one of the only Park City clubs of its kind.

Top Tip: Hours are limited as it’s exclusively a late-night venue.

Drafts Burger Bar

Canyons Village

$$

Looking for sports bars in Park City? Drafts Burger Bar is more gastropub than raucous college sports-themed tavern, but it’s an excellent place to warm up between ski runs at Canyons Village and catch a game.

With 20 draft beers, classic pub grub and plenty of TVs – you may find yourself sticking around past overtime at one of the best all-around Park City bars.

Practical Tips for Exploring the Best Park City Bars

  • Like all of Utah, the best Park City bars measure their pours. Any amount of haggling you do with your bartender doesn’t get you much more liquor in your glass.
  • Last call is typically around midnight or 12:30 am in Park City. But that’s probably for the best, so you can prepare for a big day on the ski slopes or for the best hikes in Park City.
  • Many great Park City bars also serve food, so come hungry.
